Beach Incident

One day I went to the seaside and walked along the beach. A family was playing there. One of their children was playing with their dog, but unfortunately was dragged into the waves. The dog ran through the waves to rescue the child and the parents also searched. Others looked on but the parents didn't rescue the child. Then we reported the incident to the police.
This was the most unforgettable experience of my life.

This happened last month. Usually I go to Chemistry class at Bambalapitiya. But this time I met a strange beautiful girl. It was love at first sight but I kept it to myself.
After a few days I proposed to her. But she refused me and slapped me.
Then I woke up and realised it was a dream.

Kandyan Dancing

Kandyan dancing is an ancient art form. It is part of our national heritage. It is for both men and women.
There are special costumes with heavy hats that look like crowns. The dance can be fast or slow. Sometimes the dancer tells a story and the hand gestures symbolize human characters or animals such as peacocks and dragons.
It's a beautiful dance and if you come to Sri Lanka you can see it at weddings, ceremonies, theatres and shows.
